We fall under the category of runners that want their ribboned medal at the finish line. This “hunk of bling” represents our achievement, and rewards our effort!!On the other hand, there are runners that feel that “the bag of goodies” we get upon enrollment and the medal at the end is boring and just adds an extra cost to the race.

We disagree and feel that they are fun souvenirs!!!!

P.S. A new trend over the last years (which we hope comes to Greece) is for medals to be decorative and functional – that is in the shape of bottle openers, bottle stoppers and even corkscrews. Why do I get a feeling that professional runners will disagree with me???
