Now that we are in training for our marathon, recurring/regular massages after our hardest training blocks are a must, and can become a valuable training tool to help us run our best. It is important to remember to drink a lot of water after the massage as it helps flush out some of the toxins that have accumulated in our muscles. Massages do not have to hurt to be effective, however your legs can feel kind of heavy and/or weak the next day so it is important to schedule at least one easy day between a hard massage and a hard workout.
