Another of our participations in one of the most rewarding and scenic races in the southern suburbs – last Sundays “Ladies Run 2016” at Astir Hotel Vouliagmeni.
For the last 5 years “DESMOS ORGANIZATION” are sponsors of the Ladies Run and they announced that all proceeds from the race will be sent towards various Women organizations in Greece against abuse, for the handicapped and survivors of climatic catastrophes, among others.
As done last year, the race consisted of either 1 or 2x5km loops (depending on your choice of 5 or 10 kms) starting and finishing at Astir Hotel, with alot of happenings before and after the race . One of these happenings was toning done / stretching with Mandy …….. after the race – very helpful with great exercises in soothing our muscles after the many uphills !!!!
At the end of the race, a bracelet from the LINKS OF LONDON (official supplier of the London Olympic Games in 2012) was given to each participant instead of a medal!!
Definitely one of the races we will repeat next year as it feels so good to do something your love and contribute towards a good cause.
