We were purely blessed with the opportunity to spend four days in Rome, “The Eternal City” or the “City with the Seven Hills”.  Its funny the way cities get their nicknames and I totally agree with “the eternal city!!” and would personally add “the timeless city” as one can just gaze for hours on end at all the captivating architecture in the city center and feel that time has stood still!!

Just four days, definitely not enough but one can always go again… and again.  I don’t think one can ever get tired of re-visiting the Colosseum, The Vatican, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di spagna, Piazza Navona, Piazza Repubblica…………. and … and….

We had taken my running wear with me but was so tired after exhausting site-seeing from daybreak till way into the evening that we decided that running was unnecessary!

Great food and great fun.  Not feeling sad upon our return as Rome you will definitely be seeing us again soon……next month…
