The municipality of Varis-Voula-Vouliagmeni is organizing the “Run the Lake 2016”  – 2 and 10km races – for the 5th consecutive year.

Starting and finishing points is at Vouliagmeni Lake, and the race’s route will be along the magical Vouliagmeni coastline!!

As every year, the sole objective of the Lake Run is the contribution towards charitable purposes in order to benefit people that need our help!

In the past, the following institutions have been helped :  The SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE IN VARI, VOULIAGMENI ORPHANAGE, VARIS HEALTH CENTER, THE LOCAL GROCERY STORE FOR THE UNDER PRIVILEGED, THE MOTHER OF PENTELIS, THE ARK OF THE WORLD, among others.

This year, the revenues of the race will be allocated exclusively to cover part of the hospitalization of Marathon Champion, Kyriakos Lazaridis, a basic competitor of Run the Lake in the past, who was admitted to a rehabilitation center after a heart attack he suffered in June 2016.
