Spring is a great time to plan and register for some great races :   5kms -10kms…….and why not……………… a spring marathon!!

We have pencilled-in the following races which we hope to participate in:

Thessaloniki Alexandros the Great Marathon – on 2nd April 2017

Elena will be participating in this marathon on her own unfortunately as I am still recovering from a knee injury 6 weeks ago!!

Olympia Marathon  – 26th March 2017

The 3rd Olympia Marathon is one of the most important running events this spring combining the spirit of the Olympic Games with the Marathon.  Races include marathon, half marathon and 12km races – we hope to one day run this marathon!

Color Day Run – 9th April 2017

This is a fun run – 5kms running with loud zumba music.  There will be 6 checkpoints where you will be thrown different colours of the Color Day Festival as you run by.

Poseidon Athens Half Marathon – 23rd April 2017

This is a 5km – 1/4 marathon and half marathon event starting at Paleo Faliro upto SEF stadium in Piraeus and back whereby the half marathon is twice the loop of the 1/4 marathon.  Great running route through the most beautiful sights of the Faliro Bay.Indicative: Cultural and Sports Centre of the Municipality of Paleo Faliro – crossing Marina Flisvou- battleship “Averof” – the 50 meter wide footbridge of the Esplanade and up to the Metropolitan Park of Kallithea, which has recently started being manufactured by the Foundation “Stavros Niarchos” the new National Opera, the new National Library and the environmental park.
Water Plaza- Yacht Marina of Kallithea- beach Volley and along the –under construction- environmental park, between the mouth of Kifisos and Ilisos river… need we say more!!!!

This is a race one should not miss!!  very well organized with a great turn-up.
