October potpourri & flashbacks

Despite our busy and so tiring training schedule in preparation for …….The Athens Classical, flashing back on our race and event attendances, one can say that October was a competitive month for run2stars!!!!!

In the beginning of the month, we did the “Acropolis 5km Night Run” and the next day participated in the “Poseidon Challenge Half Marathon”, as previously mentioned both races were definitely memorable for their scenic beauty and cultural wealth.

Lastly we cannot forget participating in the “Race for the Cure” and the “Ladies Run” – both races ran towards fund raising for very good causes!!

On that positive note, we are definitely looking forward to November………… this month will definitely be one to remember with our participation in the Athens Classical Marathon……42.2 kms of sheer fun!!!!

The Athens Classical is considered in being one of the most difficult major marathon races.  Its course is uphill from the 10km mark to the 31km mark, and said to have the toughest uphill climb of any major marathon.

Its finish line is in the Panathinaiko Stadium, being the stadium which housed the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, and the only one in the world built entirely of marble.   Really touching.

Go on November ………. hit us hard………..we are ready for you!!!!!!!!!!!!
